Special General Meetings

Kia ora koutou parents and whānau,

You'll have heard from us about a possible merger with Whānau Manaaki Kindergartens.

Tuesday 26 March 2024, we held the first of two Special General Meetings (SGMs) to vote on the merger, where the first vote was passed with a majority 'yes' vote.

Our second meeting to vote on the merger will be held on the 1st of May. See details below.

SGM 2 ZOOM link!

See you all there! For more information or enquiries please email feedback@ikindergartens.nz

What's the vote about?
This vote will determine whether Inspired Kindergartens (Tauranga Regional Free Kindergarten Association) will merge with Whānau Manaaki o Tararua Free Kindergarten Association. The voting needs to take place twice - so we're holding two Special General Meetings - see zoom link above for SGM2 (SGM 1 has been held)!

We're inviting all staff and parents to attend, and 'elected parent representatives' to vote
All our team members, parents and whānau are invited to attend as you are a valuable part of the decision making journey. However, ONLY our elected parent representatives for each kindergarten and our home based service, in addition to life members and board members are able to vote at the Special General Meetings.

If you are a parent and you have feedback about the merger to be taken into consideration for your service please get in touch with your parent representative. If you are not sure who your parent representative is - please check with your Head Teacher or Home Based Educator.

As a not-for-profit and Incorporated Society, key decisions such as the merger are chiefly decided by parent representative votes. Thank you for your support during an important consideration of the future of Tauranga Free Kindergarten Association - Inspired Kindergartens.
